Desai’s Meats was established in 1978 and was originally known as Stanger Meat and Ice. In 1984 we moved to Point Road, Durban and traded as Point Road Butchery. In 1998 Desai’s Meats was established in Prince Edward Street, Durban. Due to our quality meats and excellent service we became extremely popular and had to find larger premises with more adequate parking for our customers.

As most of our clientele are based in the CBD and the surrounding suburbs – a centralised location was necessary. In January 2007, due to public demand and to satisfy our customers’ needs we opened a much larger butchery with ample parking space in the Sydenham area where we are currently trading
